Arrival in Namibia
Entry 5 of 30 | show all | print this entry |
Today we arrived in Tsumeb, a town in the north of Namibia. It was a very long bus journey from Livingstone, but the bus was confortable and the road very straight so we managed to get some sleep. This morning we are organising our own rental car to travel through Namibia over the next week. Tsumeb is a very civilised town - very structured, clean, a bit sleepy - there are lots of white people and I can recognise some of the language but I haven't established yet if it is Afrikaans, it is very close to Dutch anyway. We are looking forward to hit the road - good quality tarmac roads for a change! We are heading to Etosha National Park this afternoon and will stay at Halali lodge in the middle of the pan where we have good chances to spot elephants at night because there's a waterhole. We have heard about the result of the elections in Oz. Will be curious to find out about any big chances in policy over the next months!
Gros bisous
