The River Rhine... and lots of wine...
St Goar is a tiny little town on the Rhine. Many castles around the hills but we didn't visit any. Wine tasting in an old bomb shelter and browsing cuckoo clock shops were some of the highlights for the afternoon. A few people, myself and Trude included, got a bit tiddley at the wine tasting. Cruised down the rhine on a large boat (two bars on two floors) and had a look around the place (and a few beers). On to the hotel, which was off in the whop whops. The place was quaint which is to say typically German but nice enough. Dinner was at the hotel and buffet. Arm-wrestling and a little drinking followed dinner.
