Up early and off into Broome. Headed straight to the Visitor Centre and met a great lady – Bron, she and her husband had done a similar trip to ours and she was so in the know about the area. We sorted out our itinery for the weekend and checked up on the Tanami Road – it was closed!! Hoping it'll be open for our trip down! They’ve had lots of rain that way apparently – crazy.

Headed off to explore the Dampier Peninsula, North of Broome. First stop was Willie Creek Pearl farm – beautiful location, amazing estuary with turquoise waters that you can’t go in because of crocodiles!!

Explored the west coast of the peninsula, stopped off at James Price Point to check out the red cliffs next to the turquoise blue waters, amazing! Drove back to Barred Creek where we camped for the night, overlooking the estuary which according to the locals at the bait shop in Broome, is home to 2 "friendly" crocs!! So glad our tent is on the roof!
