So, going with Jamies reccommendation and doing what felt right, i am today going to get onto a train at 7:40 where i have no seat for the 24hr journey and i am 72nd in line for a seat so i have to hope there are a hell of a lot of cancellations. Lets see what happens...

hi ben it's xmas day in Oz & i've read a few of your blogs. sounds likes it's been a heck of a good year for you. I was travelling in India in the mid 80s & had similar train trips. I stood up from Mumbai to Delhi - I didn't know it could be done. Namaste Therese

Hey there therese, thanks for the comment, its good to know that someone apart from my family actually reads my blogs! I did survive thanks and was actually pretty lucky Due to the generousity of the indian people i hgad several people going well out of there way trying desperately to get me a bed, which was unnecessary and very kind of them. I guess if you have been in India then you already know how friendly the indian people can be. Anyway, i luckily got allocated a bed at about 11pm so actually had a good nights sleep.Sorry for the anticlimatix ending!
