Next day we drove to Melaka with her 'cousin brother'. With the whole cultural thing of calling everyone who is a good friend uncle, auntie or cousin or brother i don't know if he is actually related to Farah or not, but i wasn't going to query this, as i was sure i wouldn't understand the answer.
Melaka. first impressions:- obviously a port town, its tidy, quaint and obviously sees a lot of tourists, both foreign and domestic. As a result of this it is littered which shitty little markets and stalls selling the kind of crap that only a tourist would even consider buying. Rickshaw drivers were everywhere and would be a constant hassle all day, they were even waiting outside the car when we arrived (how do they do that? like a magic genie or something, except instead of three wishes you get an overpriced slow ride around town.)
First stop was one of the tacky markets, where Farah embarrassingly bought several horribly sickly pendants with her and Azhars (her fiancee) names on encased in a heart and then one with hers and my names on for me, great, just what I'd always wanted!
After vomiting over that sickly display, we moved onto the 'sites of melaka', a ship cum museum; closed, various old vehicles and wait for it, a section of wall. Thats right people,  a wall is one of the primary attractions here. Bet thats got you buying your plane tickets to Malaysia already hasn't it.
After lunch, by far the most interesting part of the day, we headed back to KL for drinks with Azhar before dropping me back at the village.

Melaka a city with history
I got to say something regarding this little city of mine... This is a city full with history and heritage, I could say that, your comments towards this little city was just because you haven't explore much on it...

I can assure you that when you explore further, by understanding the culture, the heritage and the story from the pass, you will love this city as well.

Melaka, beside the market for tourist, the 'Ship museum'... etc. There is a lots more interesting places to visit which your friend hadn't bring you to.

I'm the local Chinese where I can show Melaka to you in the different prescription. Perhaps if there's a chance for me to guide you for your next trip to Melaka, your impression towards Melaka will change, I can bet on that ;)
