Arrived in Sandakan in the evening, got a guest house then in true davey style i rewarded myself for climbing the mountain (Simon did too) with an all you can eat Hari raya buffet. However we got there late and the buffet 'had finished' though there was still a lot of food left. I was looking at the food thinking 'hhhhhhmmmmnnn, there's still a lot of food there', and looking across at Simon, i could tell the same thoughts were going through his head. 'Will you give it to us for cheaper if we just take whats left' Simon asks 'for two ringgit?' Brilliant, he's taken the words right from my mouth. Looking a little disgusted at us, the owner agreed to give it to us for 3 ringgit, so we ate 'the leftovers' like gluttons, then feeling very sick and disgusted with ourselves, we waddled back to the hostel, where we collapsed over the front desk and arranged our trip for the following day to Sukau, where we wanted to take a river cruise. Our transport would be a minivan driven by Nazim, departing the following day.
