Arrived late in the evening, got a place to stay right on Ocheuteal beach (Chivas shack)m had some food, played and lost at killer with the other residents, then slept. The clean white sand at the foot of the bar here makes it a very cool, beautiful place, and i could imagine getting stuck here. Unfortunately there is little to do here except chill out on the beach by day, and drink in the bars at night, and since i was not in the drinking mood (too much in Siam reap) and it was raining all day each day (rainy season! Duh. who goes to the beach in the rainy season) I didn''t really appreciate Sihanoukville as much as perhaps i would have another time. I figure my beach holiday is coming in Thailand and Malaysia (get ready Cod!) so i quickly moved on. One notable tip i do have from this leg of the journey is this :- don't eat one kilo of lychee's in one day, the day after a night of heavy drinking; it really doesn't agree with your stomach. Furthermore, don't do this when you are going to be staying at a guest house (Chivas shack) with shared squat toilets. Thirdly, definately don't do this when you have run out of toilet paper! I'll leave it up to you to imagine how i coped here!
Summing up, beautiful beach, great place to chill out if sunny and you fancy drinking alot or are happy to do nothing. Shame there again seems to be quite a few western sex tourists here Corrin I'll explain sex tourists later, lol).
