In the morning i would have made Sarah proud! I continued off of our success from the last night and went to one of the places to eat in the tiny alley behind our hostel. I ended up sitting in a tiny hut, conisiting of a few P.E. style benches with a few locals eating some kinda o ofu soup and a pitta type thing, for 2 yuan!
So after a month in China what would i say about it? Well its definately more of an experience than a holiday, and not the place to come if you have kids or want to relax. Having said that, there is a large number of fantastic sights to see here (though not when considered per sq km, as a large amount of the country is wasteland, the countryside is not cared for at all it seems. Though i guess the environment isn['t really a chinese concern, as development and commercial expansion seem key here) and the country does have a very rich cultural history which i found fascinating to learn about. So for those interested in China it is worth coming, but it won't be an easy going experience, and to be honest i kinda feel that without a guide you might miss out on a lot of the history of places and may fail to appreciate the historical importance of a lot of the sights too (which is really the reason to come anyway).
