The garden city
Entry 14 of 149 | show all | print this entry |
Arriving in Suzhou today, a town famous for its beautiful gardens, we first visited the tiger hill gardens, which Dragon had never visited himself, since he is usually too time constrained. This is a real beautiful park which is heavily flower based, though the walking through the tranquil gardens was ruined by the fact my ankle has swollen up like a balloon. At lunchtime I've again become convinced that Dragon hates me, as he always seems to be looking at me with disgust and hatred, even though as far as i can tell I've done nothing wrong. I think maybe i should stop eating so much and let the others eat some more! The master of nets garden performance in the evening was, quite frankly crap. How they have the nerve to call it a garden i don't know, its basically a few pavilions linked by water surrounded walkways and the performance consisted of a few ear wrenching squawking performances and a few ok musical acts. On the bright side i did do my first bit of haggling in the markets outside and got a quality quicksilver t shirt for about $5
