Shower song: devils dance- metallica
Zhouzhuang is the China i have been dying to see, a tiny town of 4000 inhabitants, apparently now solely dependant on tourism (shame) though the day we've chosen is perfect, as it seems to be tourist free throughout. The local specialty dish here is pork knuckle, a rather gruesome lump of pork knucklely/meat covered in fat, and we think they use this fat to cook all their other dishes ( lunch was not good!). We had an OK cruise down the canals which gave several good photo opportunities.
Once the day trippers leave about 6pm the whole town 'shuts up shop' and the streets become completely deserted, even the locals don't live here now!
We had a little bit of the morning of  the 27th here still and i awoke early to try and get some tourist free photos, harder than it sounds! It never ceases to amaze me how oblivious some tourists are to people around them. I was standing by the twin bridge clearly trying to take a photo of it, yet they walked onto the bridge, clearly saw  me standing there, then continued for 20 minutes to take photos of each other on the bridge at every possible location on the bridge over and over. I hate tourists!
