Our final day in Yangshuo began with a cookery course with Rosie, our local guide for the cycling. It was unbelievably fun, in a very ready steady cook style way. We cooked 5 dishes in total: Beer fish, dumplings, mini omelette's filled with sausage meat like mixture then folded and sealed (country dumplings), Lotus Rotes ( a lotus based salad) and a tofu dish. Dragon also cooked his own specialty, double cooked carrot! I'll definitely cook beer fish when i get home.
After this we had some free time so it was back for my 'date' with chong ge ( thats what its now being called) She took me on a bike ride to see the Li retreat, a part of the Li river away from all the tourists and a much more scenic route. Was a very cool time, we practiced some language stuff ( basically i said Chinese words badly and she laughed!) and just pissed about really. Still confused if she was just being friendly or coming onto me ( no surprise there, i have no luck with the ladies lol!) but nothing happened before you ask and we just chatted etc. After that we boarded the bus, on the way to our overnight train for another day of travel! Yay
