Just a night stop over before we head across to the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
We actually planned to head up to Dog Island just north of Anguilla and anchor for the night, so the passage to the BVI tomorrow wouldn't be so long. However, shortly after departing the wind was quite strong so we cut the trip short and headed for Anguilla. We anchored in a pretty bay with beautiful golden sand beach that ran for miles. We swam and then Shaz & I went for a nice long walk along the beach before dinner. The highlight for the boys was when Shaz, in the most ungraceful manner possible, stumbled out of the dinghy and crashed head first into the beach just as a wave washed over her.
She claims her foot slipped or got caught in a rope or something like that. Whatever the cause, we were all very pleased with the performance despite her complaining of a bruised hip for the next day or so. It's quite amazing really that after almost a year we've had no slips or falls overboard. (Although I must admit to a very shaky crawl out of the dinghy and up the back steps after a big night out with Mathias in Antigua. Not quite sure how I actually made it into bed that night)
