After dropping Shaz and Hazza at the airport, so they could fly to Barcelona for their luxury cruise across the Atlantic (Don't believe a word she says. They chickened out on another ocean crossing) we cast off the lines and set sail for Le Gomera.

This is the last stop in our Canary Island lay over before heading across the deep blue Atlantic. Tom & I, together with our new crew Dad (John) and Matt had a great day sail over to the next Island, Le Gomera.

Our last 2 hours of sailing saw us fly past 4 or 5 other yachts, We had our spinnaker up and were moving fast. Good thing because when we arrived at the small harbour it was absolutely packed, with yachts rafted 4 wide in the harbour. Fortunately the only space was the fuel wharf, which is where we needed to go. After filling up our tanks and several extra fuel drums for the long passage we asked if there was room for us to stay the night. After scratching his head for a few minutes the guy said to stay on the fuel wharf and he closed it for the night.
Excellent timing, because all the yachts after us were turned away.

We cooked a quick meal and settled in for the night, only to realise we had a party of drunken dutchmen on the yacht behind us singing football songs. We'll be glad to get out of here and enjoy the peace of the ocean.
