Early this morning (2.30am) we had to up anchor from Formentera because the wind came up and was continuing to build in strength, as were the seas now pushing us in towards the beach.
It's not all idealic cruising. There are some nights where sleep is a rare commodity. Pete was up from about 11pm keeping an eye on the building wind.
We didn't want to leave too early because Pete found a little bay that would be protected, but was only a 4 hour sail away and didn't want to arrive there in the dark.

Pete and Tom pulled up the anchor and Tom went back to bed  while Pete sailed around the island and up to Ibiza to the sheltered bay. We arrived at around 7am and tucked into the small bay with wind howling over the headland.

We stayed here for a day, with the plan to head across to Mallorca tomorrow.
