Smooth sailing and just as we arrived in Almerimar the wind blew up, so the timing was perfect. Checked into the Marina, which was a very pleasant experience to find one so professionally run and some English spoken as well. We explored the town for the afternoon and returned to the boat quite exhausted as the heat is now consistently up into the high 30's and doesn't seem to reach its hottest time until 4 or 5 in the afternoon. The people all through Spain are amazing the way they adapt to this. They just do a bit of work in the morning (until about 1pm - 2pm) then go to the beach or swim and go out and party all night. They don't go out to dinner until 10 or 11 o'clock at night!
I really struggles with this as restaurants and cafes are only setting up at 8pm or 9pm.
