Once through the Smoky Mountains we headed back into Alabama for a few extra sights. First stop was Noccalula Falls in Gadsden. Indian legends centre around these falls and how a young woman surrendered herself to the falls when she was hindered from seeing her lover, they have even placed a statue of her at the top of the falls. It was dramatic and a surprise for a place out of the way.
Next stop was the Statue of Liberty, Birmingham style. The owner of Liberty Bank in Alabama made a replica of the Statue of Liberty that is one fifth the size of the original Statue of Liberty.
He then donated the statue and surrounding land to the Scouts of America. It was an interesting sight to see, probably not as amazing as the original but pretty cool.
Just a couple of stops on our way South but an enjoyable few days. We hope this finds you all well and enjoying life. Love and Peace to you all, the back on the fast track, Bek and Jesse Train
Heading South and into the sun. We left Asheville and drove back through the Smoky Mountains. The weather was completely different this time, foggy and rainy and absolutely amazing. It crazy how different one place can look depending on the weather. It was totally beautiful.
