If sleep exhaustion is a sign of a good time, we have just had the time of our lives, ha, ha, ha! We made it to Nashville to catch up with a friend we made in Michigan and to check out the night life and check it out we did. We didn't go to bed before 3am too many nights in a row, Polly (our friend) has some serious stamina!

Innocently we headed to downtown Nashville to check out the eats and night life. We had a nice Italian meal (real food!!) and wandered off to Honky Tonk Row in downtown Nashville, right next to the original building for the Grand Ole Opry, full of 'honky tonk' bars that have live music all night long. The music ranges from Bluegrass to old country and new country.

We checked out The Stage and Tootsies (bars). The Stage had a great band that were really good and mixing up their music and adding some humour, the guy had an excellent Michael Jackson impersonation. Tooties plays old and new country and is the 'hoppingest' (that is now officially a word) bar in town. We danced up a storm 'til the dancing could be done no more. Then it was 3am already.

The next night (not so innocent anymore, we rested in the arvo so we would be ready this time) we went back downtown and had some Southern BBQ goodness, quite tasty, beans, ribs and pulled pork. We then went back to Tooties for some more dancing. This night they had an amazing fiddler play who had the crowd on their feet and screaming for more it was really cool. We danced the night away and finished it off with choc chip waffles and bacon (thankyou Polly) at 3am!

We didn't just dance whilst hanging out with Polly, like I said this girl has stamina, she is actually able to get up before midday, no scratch that, before 9am after a big night out so we were up and at 'em. Didn't want to dissapoint and had to show our youthfulness. We went to the Grand Ole Opry's new residence and checked out the amazing indoor gardens that cover acres and acres. Its really beautiful, imagine it like an indoor garden from Venice, with river and all.

Before we new it Polly had to head back home to Ohio. So thanks to Polly for sharing her excellent self and room with us. We had a fabulous time sharing and hanging out with you. Polly may have to go but our Nashville adventure has not finished yet, stay tuned for more...

Love and Peace, the happily sleep deprived, Bek and Jesse Train

Reminiscent of your Rio revelling! Sounds like heaps of (stamina-filled & energy-draining) fun!
Keep those feet hopping and groovin to the tunes.
