Memphis baby, Memphis! From Hot Springs to Elvis, we arrived in Memphis and headed straight to Graceland, the home of the King. Graceland is a large sprawling home on a large estate just outside of Memphis where Elivs lived, died and is now buried. For all those who are concerned about his descendants wealth do not be alarmed. They make a mint charging people into Graceland (if the proceeds go to them), there were so many busses going in and out and it was a weekday. We did the budget tour and looked over the fence, ha, ha. There were many other travellers doing the same. From the front of the property you could see the main house, the yard, entry way and stables. Across the street they had Elvis's planes, yep both of them, also on display. Totally cool.

We put on our Blue Suede shoes and headed off to tour Sun Studios, the Studio that gave Elvis his recording break and has recorded hundreds of great artists including U2, Matchbox 20 and some old favorites such as Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Johnny Cash and Carl Lee Perkins. The studio is pretty amazing they have an old museum that contains original recordings and records from these great artists, some of their instruments and clothing, including Elvis's high school graduation certificate and social security card!

During the Sun studio tour we were allowed into the recording studio which had the actual microphone that was used for recording back in the early days of the studio. It had the lips and spit of all these great artists all over. You were allowed to touch and sing into it just like the legends, cool! So we can now proudly say we touched Bono's mike, oh yeah it was Elvis's too.

We've got to keep this train moving if we hope to see all the states before the end of the Millenia so eastward we go to Nashville, Tennessee.

We hope you are all well. Love and Peace, the 'all shook up', Bek and Jesse Train.
