An interesting first two legs fo the trip. Chuck's navigation to Boston-Logan was flawless. Hit plenty of bumps, but still a soothing ride for most on two Proctor minibuses.

The second leg was a bumpy ride from Boston to Newark. We kept looking out the window for the Frost Heave signs. It's always fun flying Southwest Airlines, the crew happy and personable. Unfortunatlely, we are flying Continental. A bland, brusque crew. "Drink?" was the limit of conversation. We had to laugh at the Captain's instructions. Now we know where Charlie Brown's teacher went after she moved on. I feel an evaluation coming on...

We wait at Newark airport for 2 1/2 hours for the big jump across the pole. No wifi will let me log in, so this happy post waits for Beijing. A good group so far. The balance of the 43 joins us here, with a couple of Hong Kong residents joining us in Beijing. Now the Great Adventure really begins.
