After a short flight of 45 minutes we arrived at Chiang Mai airport 13th. We found ourselves some accommodation at The Top North Hotel.
We went for a wander again a mass of markets line every street still celebrations from the Queens Birthday, we got straight into it. The silver here is good quality and cheap so we were on a mission for a bargin...... Not before long the weather decided to change and greet us with the rain - only fine rain we continued to march the streets as we carried on it got heavier so we took refuge in a near by pub - What a saviour!!here we decided to sample the local Sang Som waiting for the rain to pass - well the weather up north is changeable so it didn't pass it just kept on coming with in minutes the roads were a wash of water so yes we ended up in the pub for the long haul!
We booked ourselves on to a cooking day at a 'Thai home stay called The Spicy House' a lady called Mim runs it. The day started off with a trip to the local market for all the fresh ingriedients. Back to the 'Spicy House' or what felt like Cant Cook Wont Cook we got Cooking and Smiling - everything we russled up we ate thankfully Mim had some guest and we could share- there was a guy and woman from Germany and a Japanease lady and of course Mim, the day was brilliat. We instantley felt at home her house was covered wall to wall with pictures of guests and cooking students. Mim has invited us back for dinner on are last evening in Chiang Mai.
