The sun has been shining for our last day and it has been HOT!

We made it to the ferry this morning which took around Ellis Island and the Statute of Liberty, unfortunately because of hurricane Sandy (which destroyed the docks on the island) we couldn't go on and see the Statute up close but we got a good view from the boat!

Then we took the subway over to the west side of Manhattan to find High-line Park which is a park built on a derelict above ground train line, it was stunning!! And also an amazing spot to grab our first Mexican food and awesome sunbathing spot! Possibly my favourite place in New York!

After a quick stop at the hostel we headed up to Times Square to see the people celebrating the longest day by doing..... Yoga! A lot of them all with mats out in the middle of New York, it was very funny!

Possibly my favourite part of the day was going to Central Park for a couple of hours to enjoy some well deserved sunbathing and the views weren't bad either!!

We decided to conclude our stay by going out for some drinks and I can safely say (as I am writing this the next day!) that we won't be doing that before a long bus journey again! Needless to say it was a good night out, despite one of the bars only playing 80s music!
