Sorry its been awhile people. I have been having a great time and the weather is indeed improving. I still dont have a pot and I am hoping something will be done soon. ie I will buy one.
Yes folks, today is in fact the best day of the year. You have all been waiting for it. I have. I woke up this morning and forgot it was my birthday until I was in the shower and someone knocked on the door. Then I got to school and got some presents from people. My friends host mother told me she would have a birthday party for me tonight at her house. So we are all going to cram in there. Its going to be fun.
Last week we had HANAMI which means cherry blossom festival. It was so cool. This place looked so awesome and I have tons of photos.
I met my host mother yesterday. She is really nice and she has a MASSIVE house. She gave me a TV. She said it was another students and they left it there so I could have it while I am in Japan. She said she will look for a fridge too. So I am pretty happy.
Japanese is driving me insane. People dont recognise how awesome I am for the small amount I have studied, they just ramble on like they talk to anyone else and I DONT UNDERSTAND!! For the love....
I went for my part time job on sunday night, in Owani to teach that 13 year old boy. He is a fast learner and a nice kid so I was happy. I asked hom about his hobbies and he doesnt ahve any. Only to study. His mom is really cool and I think she wants him to get a bit of a life because I finally elicited from him that he watches TV and then I said what do you watch adn he said THE NEWS. I mean, seriously. Anyways last week at the park I played a shooting game and won a gun and when I pulled it out to show him how to load it after the lesson he got this look on his face like WHOOOOAAAA. Then we had a shooting competition on the target I had in my bag and his mum came in. I was like, oh the lesson is finished but... (as you do in Japanese) and she started smiling and saying that she loved guns. After my initial confusion I grabbed her and made her shoot with us and it was great fun. They even gave me a birthday present and some apples too.
I watched Lilo and Stitch on Friday with Andy (aforementioned girl from Brazil.) It was really cool and now I am officially obsessed with Stitch. I would also like to point out here that ANDY IS THE PERSONIFICATION OF ALL THAT IS COOL. Thanks. (You can pay me later.)
Today for my birthday I got two small stuffed animal pigs from my friend Alistair from Canada. They are so awesome. I have called them Puri and Kura due to my obsession with Purikura, which are those small photo stickers you get in booths. I have a Purikura book which is awesome. This naming is thanks to Alex from France who is one of my favourite people. I have been practicing my French. Or rather, finding out that I have forgotten an amazing amount since I last spoke it.
By the way I make so many mistakes in English now. Its quite hilarious. I shouldnt teach...
Until next time

Kia ora, talofa, bonjour mon ami
Hey Bex, it was good to see u remembered your own birthday eventually. Glad you have a host mum, does this mean you aren't in your aptment any more. I'm a bit lost, but this will come as no surprise. I have absolutely NO IDEA what you might want for your birthday, you don't seem to be missing anything from home very much. My guess is you r going to say 'filthy lucre' is all you want. Hhmmmmmmm.... so bourgoise, so boring and every day....... where is your imagination kiddo? In case u r wondering, we r all doing 'OK'. Missing Garm. Nothing is quite the same and mothers day looming in the weekend. I am thinking of going on a road trip with Bonnie and Ellen and visiting our 3 mothers graves in 1 day, one in (almost) Pipiwai, 1 in Whirinaki and one in Albany. Different, aye? Chanelle is off to Canada soon, 4 good. I went to her capping last Friday and we all went to Sky City 4 dinner that night, even Hop came. U take care Le Beck, I need to send u a more detailed account of ze life in Aotearoa. Luv u, M
