Lovely scenery and pizza

Beck: Howdy all! Sorry about the briefness of the last entry, but this one might end up that way too since our hostel offers free internet but there's only one computer. Bugger.
Anyway, the Amalfi coast is lovely. We've been taking it pretty damn easy here. We arrived Friday night after seeing Pompei. Spent most of Saturday hanging around, trying to sort out stuff like a train to Rome and an alternative hostel because the one we were in was riduculously overpriced and yukky. Attention All: don't stay in A'Scallantella in Atrani if you're paying any more than 10 euro because it's damp, not very clean and the rooms are not nice - ours had a big yukky vent in the floor with mould-covered pipes in it (for the record we paid 20 euro each - ripped off! I'm happy to stay in dodgy if I'm paying dodgy prices, but this price bared no relation to the quality of the hostel). OK, enough about the stupid hostel. We've moved to a nicer place now and we've been enjoying ourselves. Saturday night was a big one! They pour the drinks very strong here - 5 euro (about $8.50 AUD) for spirits that must have been triples. We weren't so well Sunday morning, so we lounged around on the beach, then had a nice walk up to Ravello - gorgeous veiws and a lovely little town. Today we did a walk called "path of the gods" which was much more impressive and pretty easy walking (except that half the time we couldn't find the path). Unfortunately it rained and I've got a cold, so I got a bit grumpy after we finished the walk and had to wait about an hour to get a bus home.
We're off to Rome tomorrow morning, so I might go over and see how pissed Billy's gotten and remind him we're getting up at 6am!
