That night our whole tour went on a sunset booze cruise on the Zambezi. Thankfully Kristi was there to make sure I made it back to our tent ok, because after a few beverages I never would have found it on my own. It was not a pleasant morning or a pleasant 7-hour bus ride back to Lusaka the next day...
We crossed the pontoon at Kazungula and entered Zambia, ending up at the Waterfront campsite in Livingstone. We only had a few hours but had an awesome time at the Falls, getting completely soaked even though we had on big ponchos. It was totally different from when I went to the falls in December, in the dry season. This time, the falls were at 90% capacity and truly lived up to its name Mosi-O-Tunya - The Smoke that Thunders. The marketplace at the entrance to the falls is a great place to barter for souvenirs and I traded an old pair of pants for a beautiful carving.
