This week I was transported to Wisteria, New Jersey, where I was sucked into one interesting murder mystery. I'm not sure how it happened, but some how the quiet city of Wisteria was transformed into one huge ghost town. An eerie silence crept across Midtown. Night crept across as shadows moved in the darkest. Superstitions came alive. What was once childhood tales became terrifying reality. I stood in shock as fairy tales and fables turned into nightmarish truths. I shutter to remember the happenings of that evening, but they are forever etched into my very mind.

My friend, Kate, had been staying with an old family that had a past entwined with her own. Her best friend, Ashley, had died at the age of seven. The poor girl drowned in the pond on the Westbrook Estate...her family's Estate. It was deemed an accident, but once little Patrick, the youngest Westbrook child who had never heard of Ashley in his entire life, began to act just as she had Kate began to worry. Ashley had the tendency to dare young Kate to do dangerous things. Patrick began to sneak off while under Kate's supervision and claimed that Ashley was daring him to do things...the same things that Ashley had dared Kate to do so many years ago. Patrick's life seemed to have taken a very dangerous turn. No one seemed to be worried about this in Patrick's family, until he almost drowned in the same pond that Ashley had died in.

Kate had been there and had only turned her head for a few minutes to talk to Patrick's sister, who is a horrible excuse for a woman and mother, and the little boy streaked across the pond, swearing up and down that he had seen the wild tabby, who had died just two days ago, on the other side. Kate decided that this had to be a sign that Ashley's death wasn't an accident. She had surely been murdered, but by who?
