Hello everyone from Thailand!

My time here is almost finished, I'm on my way to Malaysia now. I've had a wonderful time in Thailand and have done so much here!

Since I last wrote to you all I've spent some more time in Bangkok, and also on two different islands in the south of Thailand. They were called Ko Samui (sam-oo-ee), and Ko Phagnan (Pan-yan). 'Ko' means 'island' in Thai.

In Bangkok I went to the Grand Palace, which is actually lots of buildings, not just one palace. I don't know how many but I'd guess more than 30 buildings. It's been the royal palace in Bangkok for over 200 years, and is absolutely beautiful. Each building has so much detail and is so colourful and shiny! It's a very impressive place to see. After the Grand Palace we went to a temple called 'Wat Pho'. At this temple we saw one of the biggest reclining Buddha statues in the world. It is one hundred and sixty feet long! Check out my picture of it!

After Bangkok I went to Ko Samui for christmas. I stayed at a hotel in the jungle! It was beautiful, but very strange to be in a hot place on christmas day! I even walked on the beach on christmas morning. My christmas dinner was very different to what I usually have at home in Canada. Instead of turkey and stuffing, I had lots of fish; tuna, lobster, salmon and seabass! It was delicious. (I think I prefer turkey for christmas though!)

On the other island (Ko Phagnan) I rented a scooter for a day and explored the island on it. The island is mostly made up of jungle and mountains, it was beautiful. Check out my pictures to see the coolest animal I found!

I've had a great time in Thailand, but am ready for more adventures in Malaysia!

Talk to you again soon! I hope you all had a lovely christmas.
