Hello my Limehouse friends!

I'm now in Shanghai, which is further down the East coast of China, as you can see from the map. We flew here very early on Friday morning and spent the last three days wandering and exploring this beautiful city. I'm still not able to post any pictures for you, so I'll post a lot when I get to Taiwan in a few days.

I've seen some amazing buildings in Shanghai, like the Pearl Tower, and the Jin Mao Tower - can anyone find pictures of them online?

The food here in China is delicious! It's nothing like Chinese food that we eat in Canada - although they do have a lot of rice and noodles. One of the coolest things I've seen was someone making noodles out of a big pile of dough. It was amazing! He started out with a big lump and ended up with hundreds of long, thin noodles in about 30 seconds! I'll try to get some good pictures of it for you.

I had a question about if there are lots of bikes here, and the answer is YES! There are so many bikes everywhere! Almost more bikes than cars sometimes! The guy who collects the recylcing does it on a bike, the taxis are usually bikes with a seat or two on the back, the people who deliver food deliver it on bikes.....there are millions of them!

The internet is very very slow so I'll write more to you later!

Can you tell me how tall the Oriental Pearl Tower is? Can you go to the top of the tower like the CN Tower?

The Pearl Tower is 1,535 feet tall, and yes! You can go to the top of it just like the CN Tower! We didn't do that though, because Shanghai is such a beautiful city from the ground.

What great pictures. I am learning so much. What I found most intresting was what you told us about the zig zag walk ways. Very cool!!
