Hello again Limehouse!

I hope you're all having a lovely, relaxing weekend after your first week back at school.

We've had a wonderful time exploring the city of Busan! My friends Carolyn and Christina and I have walked all over the city and seen some really cool things.

We went to a fish market and saw hundreds of different kinds of fish. We went to three different beaches and swam in the sea (there are three seas surrounding South Korea, does anyone know which they are?). We've hiked over mountains, and eaten lots of new and delicious foods. We've done a lot already!

Korea has its own alphabet which is different to the one we use in Canada. Sometimes this means it's a little bit difficult for us to order food or find our way, because in South Korea we can't read! This is how Koreans write the word "friend" - 친구, and it sounds like "chingoo". On our first day we learned how to say two very important words;"hello" and "thank you." This is how they sound:

hello - annyong hassayo
thank you - gamsa hamneeda

They really like sports here in South Korea, especially baseball and soccer! The baseball team here in Busan is called the Lotte Giants, and a ticket to see them play costs about 7000 Won, which sounds like a lot but is actually only $7! I've heard that the crowds at a baseball game here are much louder than we are in Canada!

Does anybody like to eat fish? If you do, then you would like the food in Busan, because they eat A LOT of it! They eat eels, and crabs, and red snapper, and shrimp, and many, many more. A lot of the time they eat the fish raw! They eat everything with chopsticks instead of a knife and fork, so we're getting lots of practise! Sometimes we don't do so well and our food pops out of our chopsticks, it's funny!

I have lots more to tell you but I'm sure you're tired out reading or listening to all these words, so I'll tell you more in a few days.

I took lots of photos to show you, I hope you like them. If anyone would like me to take a photo of something I didn't post on here, let me know and I'll try my best!

Have a wonderful day!

Becca, your team mate in South Korea!
