Back in Prague, getting ready to go for the 3 weeks long summer camp....

Met Dana, who is the wife of one of the Oxford's students, Ildar. Ildar asked me last week if I could meet his wife for dinner as she is really interested in the Chinese Language and culture and seriously thinking about studying Chinese in Beijing for a year. She told me it's really difficult to find someone who knows about Chinese culture and also knows English. We had a very delicious dinner at a Sze Chuan restaurant.... :) She had tons of questions for me...just about everything, from food....people...price.... differences...language....etc. Dana is a sweet and friendly lady.....and we agreed to play badminton together when I'm back from the summer camp! Oh btw, she used to be in Operational Risk in banking....and she disliked it! hehehe....and now she's working as an internal auditor in an insurance company.

I am hired for another summer camp towards the end of August, which I was not able to attend. Good to know that I am wanted as an English teacher despite the competition from the blond. In fact, I have a few interviews coming up, mainly business and financial English. Language schools that provide company courses are generally highly paid I heard, but they are also stricter with the eligibility of work permit and visa. I thought getting a job would be the most difficult part, but seems like getting the documentation done is the trickiest, even with a job offer from the language schools. Apparently, work permit and visa is different. I can work in CZ obviously if I got a work permit, but I still need to apply for a visa to stay. it totally doesn't make sense to ---- I'm allowed to work but not stay? How?!?!? Funny system.....

I went for an interview as a Kindergarten teacher........ I got through the first round of interview and I had to go for the 2nd one and a demo class...The kids range from 18 months to 4 years old...... 18 months....what am I going to do with them? Teach them how to change their own nappies??? hehehehe........
