The packing seems endless. I've gone through hundreds of books, packing up the fragile or precious ones. Why did my parents collect so many? Then the DVDs and CDs. Then the crockery and cutlery - we have about 4 sets of each, but don't have 10 of any one. And how did we get so many mugs? They breed faster than we break them. I've been ruthless with the kids' clothes, but Paul has only thrown out a couple of bags worth and I'm sure we can get rid of more than that! Haven't looked at my own yet.
It is odd packing away hats, scarfs and gloves when it is freezing outside.
Last minute panic when we couldn't close the garage door because it was stuffed full of boxes... Not looking forward to unpacking all the dirty clothes we left.
The taxi from Swindon Air Fare arrived promptly - kids were impressed with how clean his car was (something they are not used to).
Now we're at the Travel Lodge just outside Heathrow, our first night all together in one room.
