Set off in the rain on a miserable morning... Roads are amazing but rather boring now! Sad to see so many of the monkeys for sale as bush meat!
Hmmm spoke to Claire about the lack of adventure at the moment...be careful what you wish for!
All of a sudden the good roads just vanished!bits washboard dirt track for 80km to Indende..
Indende is a sleepy little border town and quite friendly, motel and food easily found!
We have a few hours to spare (watching mangos fall from the trees - thousands). Tinkering with the bike i found the brake disc loose, floating 2-3mm either way. Rather worrying!
Out of no where a large French man (Norbit) appears and asks if everything in ok... We we sebong I reply ( getting bored if tellng the same story...) but something told me to tell him the problem...
Long story short, the burly French man is running a road building project, used to race bikes bikes and offers a solution! Spot weld tight... Ouch! Cringe!
With little choice I follow them out of town to do the job!
After spending 20 agonising minutes watching Z weld I leave...200m up the road the bikes dies... Shit! Has the weld killed the battery..,
Run the fuse checks and end up pushing back to Norbits site.,, diagnosis...Fuel filter!!
Just a bit out of my depth and throwing full confidence into the new (potentially) hall of famer the bikes stripped, tanks off and fuels pump and filter is out..
Filter is filthy (Erm why exactly have you carried no less than 2 types of filter with you?). 3?washed and a compressor later bikes back together and it's off to the total garage for a beer with the new friends!
Norbit and his team... Thank you. Adrian didn't do to bad a job himself (man likes to tighten bolts!)
Erm remind me who was bored of Gabon!!!
Hmm suppose I have to thank Combrink for his help... Again! Never hear the end of it!
