So, no blog in tuesday (not quite the mood) but the bike got finished early (amazing what a nights sleep does for clarity) and we chilled out for the day... Couldn't actually relax, really keen to get back on the road and make some progress. We've been "halfway" for a week now!

So its good bye Ghana and hello Togo! We left early but the traffic out of Accra was awful so we made the border at just after lunch. The crossing was fairly straight forward with not much hassle once you've told the touts to piss off. No bribes paid but just some sleepy, very well fed, work shy officials to deal with.

We got into Lome and stopped for a coke (got to stop drinking so much coke!). We discussed pushing through to Benin but settled on finding a place to stay as we wanted to see the fetish markets. We'll skip a nights stay in Benin and ride onto Nigeria on Thursday.

We found a guest house called Lola's run by the lovely Dolly. After explaining we wanted to visit the markets she waived down 3 motorbike taxis to take us, she would show us the way!

The most insane ride and really fun on the back of these bikes once you put the potential for death to the back of your mind.

Got to the voodoo market we were explained the rules...they really do believe in this stuff! There was also a bit of bulllshitting going on when we had to pay to take photos and they assured us that all the animals died of natural causes...Erm if thats the case the place needs a vet!

So, we're allowed to meet the chief witch doctor who (with a translator) explained all the bits and bobs...haha yep...bits and bobs! We were given a blessing for our travels...once we'd whispered our owns names three times into a tortoise shell...haha I bet they're having a gas about that round the dinner table tonight.

The "doc" then revealed it was 30 000cfa (£38) per blessing...I offered to return it but apparently they're non refundable so we pleaded poverty. After some persuasion we departed 3000cfa (£3.80) lighter and one blessing heavier!

Had another hair rising ride back, really glad we visited even though they tried to fleece us!
