Casablanca for the weekend...

Wandering around town Casablanca for the day hasn't exactly grabbed me, it's largely very dirty and doesn't have the same atmosphere as Rabat. The people in the medina seem a bit down trodden and a little less friendly.
What started as potentially a rubbish day to kill time we decided to ride down to Casablanca for the weekend while we wait for our visas. It's quite incredible what fully loaded bikes do for your friendship rating! On the way through mohammadier we were flagged down by "johnny" an Italian immigrant to morocco riding a Harley! He invited us for a coffee, sourced moroccan flags for the bikes and insisted on escorting us into town. Johnny is 50 with 4 kids in 4 different countries, a man about town me thinks! After dropping us at a ridiculously expensive hotel we thanked him for his help and then promptly moved to a flea pit which we've become far more accustomed to. Johnny the Harley rider ( yes yes we know what they say about Harley riders!) has invited us for dinner with his friends...
