Where I stayed
Stopped at the Scenic High Falls, another amazing sight (I'm going to run out of descriptive words for everything I've seen!). Met a couple from....??...it's all blurring together but...I took a pic of them in front of the falls and vice versa.
Continued down the 17 along Lake Superior and stopped at the Agawa Bay to see the pictographs in Lake Superior Provincial Park. I'm really glad I stopped and didn't head the danger signs. I never really saw myself walking along a slippery rock ledge in which at any time I could fall into the lake but it was definitely worth it
The pictographs are 150 - 400 years old painted in red ochre by the Ojibwa. Some are quite faded and once they're gone....kinda sad. The one of Misshepezhieu is my favorite. There were a few more around the rock but wouldn't be able to see them except by boat or to swim around (which some people do!).
I decided to camp just outside of Sault Ste Marie so I'd have the day to check it out and head over the border. Holy expensive! My most costly campground yet. I spent a few hours in the pavilion trying to catch up on my pics. Met a couple from Guam (yes, between the Philippines and Hawaii but closer to the Philippines). Very nice, had their grandson who they picked up in Texas and just came into Canada for the day.
