Hidee Ho!

I'll apologize now for not having much in way of details on stuff.  I'm sitting in the Yorkton Tourist Info and they've kindly let me use their internet.

I was set to meet Brian, Dad's half brother, and his family on Saturday.  I was a bit nervous as I have never met them before....hell...even Dad hasn't met them and here I am showing up on their doorstep!

I went over there around noon and just Brian was home which was good as we had a chance to talk and stuff.  He thinks I'm completely crazy for doing this trip!   We talked for about an hour then I headed to the local farmers market and then downtown

Saskatoon in pretty, the Kwanis Park along the river this nice with the river backs (both sides) lined with lush trees.  Saw the 'Bess', the many bridges and went to the Ukranian Museum.  The fellow at the museum was really nice and we went over a map of the Urkaine and talked about the history and diversity of their culture between the difference regions that were previously ruled by different countries.  It was cool.

I headed back to Brian's around 5pm ish and met the entire family, Simone, Chantel, Brianna & Dez.  oh, and Peanut too.  This is their attack pomerainian/pekaneze dog....literally...    Other than Peanut, the whole family was sooo nice and gracious and made me feel welcome.  Pretty sweet considering we are strangers.  Drank one or two beer, talked around the fire then headed to bed aroun 11;30pm.

Brianna gave up her room for me and yes!  Her bed is really comfy!

So "The Bess" is a hotel?? The sky is blue in your pics - hopefully this means the rains have stopped and you're into some more pleasant weather and dryer pastures. Did you float in Llttle Manitou? The mineral content is supposed to make one extremely bouyant - put the life jacket co's out of business. : ) Til next time... Slainte!
