Okay...so I left Jimsmith Lake Prov Park at 11am on the morning of July 1st - Canada Day!

I drove through Cranbrook which is what everyone should do...keep driving.  Then went thru...umm..I really need to do this every day cause small town Kootenays is starting to blend together and I dont have my map with me.

I stopped in Fernie for gas and have to say I liked it.  Lots of nice old buildings with the gorgeous moutain backdrop.  Kept on going through the Crowsnest Pass and WOW it was beautiful.  Should have stopped to check it out.  I went to the Tourist Info place just into Alberta and I'm sure the pictures will speak for themselves (whenever I can actually get them posted - but that's another story).

I took in the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre. They had a few different shows but I needed to get my butt to Lethbridge so I just walked through and got some photos.

Got into Lethbridge at 5pm.  Some of the roads around Henderson Lake were closed for the Canada Day festivities so it was interesting finding Hilda & Ian's.  My GPS kept telling me I was there but I was pretty sure they didnt live in a shrubbery.  I just drove around the lake til I saw the RV Park, haha.

Ginny & Ashley were there so we had a visit then I headed to the lake to take in the action. I kept following these Japanese Garden signs and walked and walked.  I finally found it to discouver it was closed...looked good from the outside! Ginny, Jeff & Ashley came back over and we all headed to the Fireworks at 11pm.  Got some nice pics of that too!  After we had some wine (more - that Prospect Winery Birch Canoe is pretty good!) and headed to bed around 12:45am.

I'm sure I'm missing something but will update should my brain start to work.
