Blue continued on down the Thruway to Seneca Falls. Modern myth has it as the town featured in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. apparently the author of the book or script was from this area. There is a Women's Rights National Historical Park dedicated to women's suffrage in Seneca Falls. The historical museum celebrates the women who were at the center of the struggle for equal rights in the 1800s
Leaving this thought provoking monument to women, we traveled south to a natural monument, Watkins Glen. Mention Watkins Glen to most folks and you will hear about auto racing. True stuff, the first American Grand Prix style racing after WWII was initiated in downtown Watkins Glen. But the town is named after the "Glen". A glen is a canyon or ravine carved in the surface of the earth by a river or stream. We traveled to the State Park and settled into the campground well before dark. Good thing because the thunderstorms started shortly we pulled in.
Dinner, yahtzee and cocktails filled the hours before bed....tough stuff this rv camping.
