Just a quick note, this wasn't really written from the Bahamas, I'm actually in the middle of the ocean but I wanted the accurate map so I just said it was :)

Ok here it goes, I know this isn't my first entry but it's the first big one so I'll try and not be to long and boring. Nassau was fun, we got there with all our luggage which was good and I actually met another girl on our flight going on SAS, she was also staying at our hotel. The first day was nice but because our flight was delayed we didn't get our luggage in our room until late afternoon but the next day was awesome. We went to visit Atlantis which was huge and very impressive looking but it was just too much I think. Very expensive and HUGE! But the fish tanks were really cool :) The third day in Nassau it rained so we just relaxed which was nice because I had to get up so early the next day to get on the ship. Mom and dad went to see the ship that night with all the other parents and I went to dinner with three other SAS kids that I had met at the hotel. When mom and dad got back they both could not say enough about the MV explorer, they just said it was great. The next morning I was so anxious and nervous because this is a big deal! I've never been away from home for 100 days, it's like starting college all over again. The line to get on the ship was ridiculous and even though we were there at 10am I didn't get on board until 1:30, and let me tell you I looked fabulous when meeting all these new people, carrying bags in the heat for 3.5 hours is just the thing you need to make a good impression, haha. Anyways my roommate is great, her name is Stacey and she's from Boca Raton, Florida but she only moved there a year ago, she's a New Jersyian just like me, Cherry Hill if you're interested in the exact location. Mom and dad were allowed on board for only about an hour because it took so long for all the kids to get on. I cried when they got on and I cried when they left because it's what we Turoczi's do, we always cry. After that we had lifeboat drills and then we sailed away. It was an amazing thing to watch because we were all standing on the top of the ship and all the parents were waving from the dock, some with signs saying Bon Voyage, but I had my video camera so mom and dad I found you right away! Mom's blue dress was a great thing because it was easy to see from far away, I saw you waving and I was waving back but I don't think you found me since there were so many of us. And don't worry I was ok after you left. That night and the next day was full of orientation stuff so I quickly learned that this was a ship or a vessel and not a boat and we are going on a Voyage NOT a cruise and more than anything else that there was no sleeping in. Instead of floors, the ship is split into seas and I am in the Bearing Sea and our RD is Nikki. She's hysterical and is so into winning the Sea Olympics, if you win you get to depart the ship first otherwise you have to wait hours. She already has us learning cheers so of course we're the best. Hmm...oh yea so the boat is going ridiculously slow and people are getting sea sick left and right. Because there isn't much distance between Nassau and Puerto Rico, the boat is going ridiculously slow in order to make time for classes and orientation and such, this means that we are going 8 nautical miles when we should be going like 28. This also means that we are going to slow to have the stabilizers working so the ship is ROCKING! The captain just came on and said that we are hitting the roughest seas tonight so let me tell you I'm not a happy camper, we were already hitting 14-15 foot swells today so anymore and I'll be falling down. The drawers are opening all over the cabin and all the stuff on the dresser falls off, it's not easy living on a boat. However today after class I did get to lay out for hours in the 80 degree weather so I guess I can't complain. Other than the rockiness everything is going alright, my classes are good, the people are awesome and tomorrow we'll be in Puerto Rico so the rocking will have to stop. Ok well that's it for now, today's the worst for me and the sea sickness so I'm going to go lay down before dinner. BYE!

Oh and p.s. if any of you are sending me mail please put my cabin number on it which is 4010, that way I will get it quicker and it will just be better...thanks! I'll write again after Puerto Rico :)

It's a regular barf-a-rama!! Want me to send any of our safety drawer locks? Lexi hasn't gotten to the stage where we need them yet! The sun tanning sounds awesome :-) Hope you're wearing sunblock...don't want you to be fried and miss all the other potential tanning hours... Anyway, that's enough big sisterly advice. It sounds like you're having a great time. I can't wait to hear more about it. I love your blog! Oh, is MTV actually there filming? Just wondering!
I love you tons, Alyssa
