Afternoon: This afternoon we were joined by the University of Wisconsin, Madison's Classics study abroad program with 20 students and Professor Laura McClure. This was the final leg of their 24 hours in transit and they looked exhilarated and exhausted (much like our students did a week ago). Some of our students joined them in a tour of Castellammare di Stabia and later led them in evening ritual of passagiatta (evening stroll). One of the greatest benefits of study at the Vesuvian institute is the opportunity for interaction between our students and other colleges and university programs.
