Since yesterday was a travel day, nothing too exciting happened. We had to have our bags downstairs at 8 in the morning so that they could load everything up and truck it up to Qunohn which is a 10-12 hour drive from the hotel in Saigon. So we headed to the airport around 12 and our flight left at 1 55. The flight was kind of interesting. A little puddle jumper that was a little sketchy at best. The flight was only an hour and 10 min long(better than driving). Then we loaded up onto the bus and had about a half hour ride to the hotel.
We showed up at the hotel and everyone was just amazed. It is a sandy beach resort on the South Sea of China. My room is on the 4th floor and from our balcony we have a very good view of the beach and ocean. The room itself is pretty awsome. French doors that open to the balcony. It has a bathtub and a walk in shower. I'm a little surprised that palmer even put us up in a hotel that is as good as this one.
Since we didn't have our luggage yet, we all decided to just hang out around the pool or on the beach and just kind of check out the resort. We had an early dinner at 5:30. The spread was very good once again. Soup, which i'm surprised i ate considering how humid and hot this place is. They also had a very good fish and pineaple sweet and sour dish. Another shrimp and mushroom dish that was very good also.
After dinner we decided to sit on the patio looking over the beach and have a few beers. So Tiger was the choice of beer again. It was extremely nice relaxing and just chatting it up w/ Nate and Dr. RJ from Palmer west. We were beat from the past few days and since we had clinic in the morning we decided to hit the room fairly early. We were sleeping by 10 and thought it was a good idea. Turns out when i go to bed at 10 in Vietnam, waking up at 4 is the consequence. Oh well, our luggage didn't show up till after we were sleeping so, i ran down and picked up nate and my bags. Then tried to get back to sleep, didn't happen. So both Nate and I got up showered, got bags for clinic ready and here i am. Blogging at 5 45 in the morning.
Well, breakfast is about to be ready to go and we leave for clinic at 7 so i've still got some things to finish up. Tomorrow will be about how amazing clinic is. Anywho, Hope everyone is doing well. I will talk with you soon.
