well it wasn't your average christmas but it was better than most days. taking a lazy day down the Nom Song river 8km in a intertube was extremely relaxing way to spend a 25 Celsius day in Laos. Well started off with a banana shake that had just what we needed to start a float trip. Stopping at all the rope swings along the way to wake us up with a good slap in the cool mountain river. Watching locals catching some valuable aquatic insects using some bamboo mortified D-nets. but mostly just took it easy and thought about what my family and friends were probably doing now. Incredible limestone cliffs lifting straight up just west of the river, many of the caves that we explored yesterday were visible along the way. Oh swimming in a pitch dark cave with flowing water and several intracit passageways is a most exhilarating experience. Well merry christmas to all.
