We arrived in Ipoh at about 1100 which meant that we missed the early bus up to the Cameroon Highlands and faced the Prospect of waiting around til about 1600 until the next one went, it was worth it though as the Taxi drivers wanted well over 100RM to get up there whereas the bus was only around 15 for both of us.
After waiting around the Bus Station for an hour and chatting to some locals we went into town to grab a bite to eat and to pick up some snacks and a power adapter for the trip up to the highlands.
The bus wasn't very full today and after making a couple of deliveries around town we were on our way. As it was raining all day some of the mini waterfalls we saw on the way up to the Cameroon highlands were pretty cool, there were some awesome views as well!
The first thing we noticed when we got up there was how much cooler it was than the rest of the region, it was a pleasant suprise! We quickly checked into Fathers Guesthouse and went to get some dinner.
The guesthouse was great, almost like a school camp atmosphere and they also had the cheapest beer we'd found so far in Malaysia!
We also booked in to see some of the local sights for the next day before heading off for an early night.
