Today we hopped on the MRT Nice and early and found our way out to the Jurong bird park, Spotting a Subaru Exiga parked in a yard on the way :D

The Jurong bird park was pretty cool, almost as cool as the 300C taxi we saw sitting on the stand.  The scariest section was the Lorikeet section, coming from Australia we are pretty sick of those little things!

After the bird park we collected our gear from the guesthouse and started to make our way to the border with Malaysia, although the first taxi driver didn't understand us too well and dropped us off at the bookstore Borders.  After getting out of that taxi and into another we got a driver he decided he'd do nothing but whinge about how close it was too knock off and how he'd have to work overtime if he were to take us to Woodlands Checkpoint, although he wouldn't let us change into another car.........

It's funny that the only bad Taxi experience we had on the whole trip was in Singapore.

Woodlands checkpoint is a massive facility, it was pretty cool to see it all working, and even cooler to see a Chinese tour group try and use the Singaporean line and be turned around to join the end of the rest of the Queues.  After getting an exit stamp we proceeded to walk to JB on the Malaysian side, it didn't take too long and we got there quicker than some of the buses!

Once in Malaysian we got a train ticket to Ipoh that was leaving at around 2300 and found a hotel to chuck our bag's in and have a shower.  This place probably took out the award for grottiest hotel of the trip, thank goodness we weren't sleeping there! It served it's purpose though and without much delay we were on our way to the train and settling in to our cabin for the night ahead, we even got a shower in this one!
