We woke up pretty late today and cruised through the whole day morning, just reading and eating up 'pon the hill
In the afternoon we went down into town as we had a massive trip ahead of us, we had to catch a taxi to the port, a boat to a Dock at Dong Sak, a coach to Surit Thani, A train across the border to Butterworth, a Ferry to Georgetown and a Taxi to Batu Ferringhi.
Needless to say we were pretty wrecked after the whole affair. The boat ride off Ko Pha-Ngan was pretty sweet, we saw the sunset from sitting on our packs on the back deck, it was definately a cargo type boat more than a passenger boat. The Night train was also pretty good, everyone was already asleep by the time we boarded and we only had to get up at 0700 the next morning to go through a crazy rail checkpoint.
You get off with all your bags, clear Thai Immigration out of Thailand, Just like the Airport and then walk around a corner to be presented with Malaysian Customs/Immigration, just like in an airport. Wierd feeling....
