Nice day today

Started off nice and early, had some breakfast and caught up with some of the guys after a fairly decent night out last night.  We got down to the Thai side of the border pretty early and got through quickly.  We then caught a boat to Laos and managed to get our Visas sorted and get through in about 30 minutes.

After some waiting around in Huay Xai in which half of our crew decided to take a bus to Luang Prabang we finally boarded the slowboat.  The seats were uncomfortable as hell but it didn't matter, we had beautiful scenery, good friends and BEER!

We cruised into Pak Beng at about 1800 and found a guesthosue and got a meal, pretty simple night really!
