Well I made it to the ship! I have to type fast cause internet access is $20 for 30 minutes. Ouch! So much for getting some homework done. I didn't get to spend much time in Galveston, but I did get to see my Aunt Judy, which was nice. And then my grandma started crying when I left, so I had to run away so that I wouldn't start. I love you grandma and Judy and promise to visit before another 12 or 13 years go by! The hardest part was finding my room, which I eventually did. Getting around isn't too hard, although it would be great if I could find a map somewhere!
The ship looks huge from the outside, although it seems easy enough to get around. We finally set sail about a half hour ago and some of the stores and things to do are finally starting to open, although most won't open for another half hour. Tomorrow is a day at sea and then on Saturday we will be in Cozumel where I'm going zip lining! I've been meeting a lot of the people in neighboring rooms and a lot of them are really cool. Almost all of them are from Texas...Houston and Austin mostly, although there are a few from Chicago, and I even met one person from Colorado who happens to live about a mile away from my house! It's a small world after all.
For now I'm off to explore some more and go to the orientation party in an hour. I'll write more later and post pictures when I'm not being charged nearly $1 an hour!
