We've split ways now. Hart is home, Nicks in Korea (or on his way home) and im in Australia.
Jim picked me up at the airport at about 8 PM and we drove straight to our hostel, which was about 4 hours north of Brisbane. We had to be up at 630 AM to get our brief for our weekend driving a 4x4 around frasier islane. It was us 2, 2 Italian guys, 2 American girls, and 5 English girls in the back of a range rover. We caught a ferry to the island and spent the next three days cruising around the islnd during the day, checking out the lakes and all the sights they told us to see, and the nights drinking in our little base camp where we had tents set up. By sunday we were thoroughly dehydrated and ready to go home. We got back to the main land around 5 and ordered some pizzas. We left for Brisbane at around 8 sunday night. The Italians were headed that way (they study english there) so we gave them a ride home and crashed at their place last night.
Now, Jim is in class, and im sittin in the library. Fraser Island was pretty awesome and I deffinetly made some good friends and will probably have a steady stream of Brits crashin at my apartment over the next few months. I dont have any pictures because I forgot my camera, but when the girls send me theirs ill try to put them up.
Only 3 more days until I have to go home, Im not real excited about it, but Jim and I already decided on our next trip. One of the British girls mentioned that she was doing the Mongol Rally, which is a car "race" (think Cannonball run) from London to Mongolia next summer...Let the planning begin.
Jen, the answer to your question is absolutely.
Woody, I think your going to be pretty happy with a purchase I made our last day in China.
