Today's highlight was going to see the New York Knicks play the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. We had seats that were high up in the stadium, but were mid-court, so we had a quite good view of the game. A game which the Knicks won quite easily, holding the lead for almost the entire game. The stadium was basically full - and although I don't know what the capacity of the stadium is, it certainly didn't generate the same sort of passion or depth of involvement that you see in an AFL game. Nor did the refs cop anything like the abuse you might see in the AFL. It was an entertaining way of spending 2 1/2 hours, and I'm certainly glad we went - but I don't know that I will be giving up my support for the Bulldogs anytime soon. After the game we had a wander around the mid-town shopping area, visiting Macy's briefly and marvelling at the crowds. We finished off with a meal at a Chinese restaurant, which was nice- but unusual and then an IMAX screening of Skyfall - the new James Bond movie - and very good it was too.
