Our California 'Adventure'

An early start to the day to take advantage of the extra magic hour in Disney's California Adventure. We wondered around a bit, feeling a bit unsure what to do. As Deborah said, we feel so at home in the DisneyWorld resort that it felt odd not to know exactly what is happening, where you are or how to get from one place to another. The place has certainly changed a lot in the (we think) 12 years since we were last in the park. We remembered very little of it. Anyway, we got some breakfast and did a few rides. We watched Aladdin, which was pretty spectacular, giving the main gist of the story in about twenty minutes. It's sort of like the abridged version of a major Broadway musical, with the acting, props and special effects that you would expect of a major production, all told in twenty minutes. We got soaked on the Grizzly River Run and headed back to the room to get changed. Then it was an early tea at the Carthay Circle Lounge - delicious and expensive. We then headed back to the room - gain, this time for a nanna nap. We woke up in time to head out to see World of Colour. We managed to fit in a ride on California Screamin' very front car on the last ride of the night. Because we had eaten at Carthay Circle, we had been given passes to a reserved area for viewing the World of Colour. This show was absolutely amazing. Who would have thought you could do such fantastic things with light, fountains and water sprays? Almost worth the price of admission to the park by itself. We are going to try to get an earlier nights sleep tonight.
