The other side of the pass is very different, its hot windy and dry with a wide river bed and Little vegetation, the towns remind me of the wild west.
We spend the first few days following the river bed but its unbelievably hot and dusty, then out of nowhere we come across an airport witch is strange as we have not seen a road for nearly two weeks but the town is well stock with beer.
A few days more and we are down to 900m but the path then turns back up into the mountains and we have a grueling 1700m climb in one day that takes us back up to 2700m its like going to a step class that last for 8 hours .
Its cold again but up here but the views are fantastic. We travel through much of the same as the first few days with lots of ups and downs though lush valleys. Then on the 20th day we climb a to the top of a hill and can see pokhara lake in the distance, a little old lady gave me a very cold bottle of coke that I down in one. Oh yes it was the real thing.
The last day was very beautifully walking down from the mountains through villages, farms and paddy fields. Then along the valley following the river as people harvest the rice in much the same ways as tea in India.
We are going to spend a few days here then move onto the chitwan park for a safari for Majas birthday
